A fabric produced in katazome technique, 100% cotton. Fine white-blue-navy blue pattern covers the whole surface of the material. Recommended for summer kimono - yukata, western clothes or interior decoration. Sold in running meters or 12 m long bolts.
The offered fabric was made in Japan in the 50-60-ies of 20th century as male yukata textile. Never used, in perfect condition.
Katazome is the traditional technique of textile dyeing using katagami templates. It requires extraordinary skills and precision, up to now hand made by a few specialists. More about that in the „technique” tab and in our blog.
